I am sitting in the Las Vegas airport right now, mesmerized by all the nickel slots before me. There's something strange going on in this country, in the travel industry, dare I say it, all over the world. I think someone is trying to brainwash me with smooth jazz. It was playing in the Super shuttle at 4 AM this morning, it was playing on the plane speakers as people were boarding. Maybe Las Vegas is immune because they seem to have flute arrangements of broadway showtunes pumping from the audio system instead.
