Designer Nadine Jarvis makjes pencils out of cremated human remains.

I must admit that this is an appealing way to dispose of organic matter. It's hard to tell if the ashes are used to make the body of the pencil, or if it is possible to make some graphite-based piece for actual writing. Maybe it would be like that old PBS show Ghostwriter where a lillt Phoebe-goblin would pop out of the words written with a Phoebe-pencil. Sounds haunty.
