FTB: For The Birds
Recently eaten: seafood rice, avocado
Recent annoyance: the cold sweat
In a case of art imitating life, a woman has finally captured the true essence of the bird-human relationship: humans are just giant sources of food waiting to be pecked at until we disappear from the face of the earth. This artist is only training these birds that human beings are made of delicious bread and will passively sit on park benches waiting to be devoured. I, for one, decry the callousness of the artist. I will start creating bird-shaped sculptures made of meat. That'll show 'em.
Bread statue popular with birds
A statue of a woman made out of bread is proving popular with pigeons in a park in Santiago.
Constanza Puente's latest work is a life size self portrait of the 6ft artist.
She told Las Ultimas Noticias: "I chose bread to celebrate the fragility of the human beings.
"I am the person who has the most access to my mind, so I should be the starting point of my pieces."
