Maybe you and the kids could make it to the French Riviera. It would only be about 3 weeks journey by foot. Crime might be down, fewer highway bandits. Anyway, the bodies littering towns and roads are enough to keep tourism and travel down. Off-peak season! Oh, but no. It's the middle of August and you and the wifey are still shivering in the wattle and daub hut. You'd go and visit Grandpa, but damned if he didn't die in the plague.

Black Death Caused 'Little Ice Age'
