Take My Wife, Please!
Recently eaten: meatball sub, baked lays
Recent annoyance: consensus
The conservative right would have you believe that gay marriage is chipping away at the foundation of heterosexual marriage in this country. My current research has shed new light on the subject and it's the foriegn-born Macedonians and Thais that have allowed the institution of marriage to deteriorate like so much carbon-14. If the follwoing articles are any indication, marriage won't last another half-life.
Man Forgets Wife at Petrol Station
"A Macedonian man left his wife at an Italian service station and only realised he had driven off without her six hours later, news agency Ansa said overnight.
After filling the tank, the husband drove away - without noticing that his 30-year-old wife had got out of the car to go to the toilet.
The woman, who had no money or documents with her, contacted the police who eventually traced her husband to Milan, some 340km of Pesaro, Ansa said.
The husband told police he hadn't missed his wife because she always sat in the back of the car with their daughter."
An American woman was relegated to the same back-seat position, forgotten, and silenced. That woman's name was Rosa Parks, boys and girls. Just get to the front of the damn bus!
Gamblers Dream of 'Selling Wives'
"One out of 40 punters in gambling-mad Thailand say they would sell themselves or their partners to pay for illegal bets on football.
In a nation that wagers on everything from kick-boxing to fighting fish, the opening of the English Premier League this weekend has Thais digging into their pockets and ready to have a go, according to a new study."
Furthermore, "When asked how they would respond if they didn't have enough cash, 43 percent said they would borrow - and 2.5 percent claimed they would prostitute themselves or their partners."
Prostitute yourself or your partner for some fighting fish? It's a risk, for sure. But damned if I don't know a winning guppy when I see one!

Interesting...
I could see betting some fighting fish on a fight between my future spouse and another, but I guess thats different...
this is a very serious issue. i sold my wife some years ago, and sometimes, i wonder what shes doing now and how life would be if i hadn't traded her for that grilled cheese at a dinner in northern jersey, but, DAMN, was i hungry.
